OUR PHILOSOPHY
Interior Landscapes is a design studio specialising in plant design for interior spaces. We use our plant and design knowledge to re-imagine what spaces can be; creatively integrating plants with interior design to re-connect people with the healing and positive power of nature.
Human beings innately crave a connection to nature. As our cities continue to densify - the opportunity for connection becomes harder to find but that need to connect with nature becomes ever more essential.
Indoor plants are so "on trend" right now but we know they are so much more than just styling accessories - they're a chance for us to connect with nature, remind us of our aliveness and connection to all living things & improve our wellbeing.
ABOUT the Director
Welcome! Im Marie-claire. I’m a landscape architect with a serious passion for plants. Throughout my career to date I have worked at some really great firms including HASSEL & Sym. Studio. At these offices I worked on a variety projects of project scales from small private residential gardens & courtyards to large public domain projects including Green Square Plaza, Palm Beach Foreshore, Sydney CBD Light Rail and collaborations with Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens. The more projects I worked on - the more I found that the most important thing about designing landscapes was simply to reconnect people with plants and the healing benefits of nature.
Knowing this - I decided that the most powerful way to do that was at the smaller human scale; by bringing plants indoors and integrating them into the everyday experience.
As a landscape architect I’ve worked with interior designers, architects, clients and builders to deliver projects from concepts through to final construction. On all my projects I aim for high quality beautiful spaces but most importantly I work to create spaces that are authentic & foster our connection to nature.
